Default Greetings and questions

Good afternoon to you all, I'm Leslie currently live in Spain. Not only I am planning to buy a Segway but luckily the product was chosen as my first case study in a Marketing Management course I am doing at Harvard University. It would be awesome if you can help me understand better if this is a product for me, your perspectives will also help me with my assignment.

1.What are the benefits .
2.Do you feel satisfy with the quality of the product, is it cost effective?
3. If we buy a Segway will I have assistance post purchase. Did you guys for instance, had a sort of training on how to use it? I have seen many videos of people falling badly.
4. I just learnt yesterday that I cannot use the Segway on the road here in Madrid, I assume I can use it in pavements but my friend tells me in London you can't. I think this is a problem.
There is only one distributor here in Spain so I have not many options, can I get it directly from the manufacturer?
I thank you all for your help.
Best, Leslie

Default Welcome

Welcome to the forum, hope you become an owner soon.

A few thoughts on your questions:

1.What are the benefits.
Fun & a Happy Feeling while gliding!
No road traffic/congestion to mess up your day.
Great for small item trips to the store and work commuting.
Did I say FUN!
2.Do you feel satisfy with the quality of the product, is it cost effective?
Quality is excellent. Well designed and built for the primary usage.
Was not purchased on a cost analysis or cost/benefit comparison to another form of transport. Segway is a toy that can be used for some practical applications; for example commuting.
3. If we buy a Segway will I have assistance post purchase. Did you guys for instance, had a sort of training on how to use it?
Dealer can provide 20 minutes of training that's all you need.
Owners manual also has several tips on how to best control the machine.
Plus there is a leaner mode so you can adjust the machine speed of response to your skill level.
I've had no issues that would require post purchase support.
4. I just learnt yesterday that I cannot use the Segway on the road here in Madrid, I assume I can use it in pavements but my friend tells me in London you can't. I think this is a problem.
Do your research on local/regional/national laws for the areas you plan to operate.
Ask your dealer but double check with your research.
In U.S.A. There are national, state, and in some locations city laws on operation.
For example:
U.S.A. National. Segway type machines are not classified as Motor Vehicles.
Same is true for the States however there are differences.
Texas says a Segway must follow Bicycle road rules.
- Travel with traffic on roadway, use bike lanes.
Washington state says a Segway must follow Pedestrian road rules.
- Travel facing traffic on roadway, use sidewalks (pavement) when present, do not use bike lanes, can use bike trails.
In addition many cities have outlawed usage in downtown areas.
There is only one distributor here in Spain so I have not many options, can I get it directly from the manufacturer?
No idea on current purchase/delivery methods.

Good Luck with School and you Segway Adventure.

I've just completed 10,000 miles of i2 Gliding

Default Clarification on question 2

Quality is excellent. Well designed and built for the primary usage.

My only experience is with the i2 / x2 design.
New SE should be the same.

While mini-Seg is a total unknown.
Not the same type of performance machine, smaller machine, China design/built for low cost point.
