As others have said, the only place you're going to find a price/order is a dealer.
I gave you the phone numbers for two dealers in California which I've done business with.

The base price is around $1000, more or less, depending on dealer markup. Options like the inverter, high-lift, and dual-Segway capability add a bit more.

You'll need to contact a dealer for more specific information -- I bought mine through Segway of Oakland, 6 years ago.

If you do want the capability to transport two Segways, it's a very simple and quick switch between dual and single modes. I only have one Segway, so I did not get that option, but the same mechanism allows disassembly for storage, and I can confirm it's very easy and quick.

Obviously, we can't have infinite voltage, or the universe would tear itself to shreds, and we wouldn't be discussing Segways.

You won't regret it, I've used them for years and they've always been dependable.
However, I recommend carrying a couple spare fuses for it, just incase.

No, never heard of them.
The fuses went into a cable between the box at the top with the buttons for lowering and raising the lift, near the charging box, in a little waterproof case, and they were cylindrical.
