Lean steer feels loose.
My segways have about 4,200 miles on them. Two of them have a bit of loose feeling on the lean steer, like if I barely move it it gets a weird little shake to it. It's even shut down before with error codes E024 or E044. I've switched batteries and have readjusted the lean steer. I recently had to replace the pivot base in another one that was doing the same thing. Is this a common problem at this mileage? It gets rather expensive.

Yeah. I've removed and replaced lean steer. Thinking that was it. I'll check tire pressure. Has that been an issue you've encountered before with tire pressure being low?

What I had a problem with was the outer bolts that went lose(large alllen screw heads)....It was only on one side and could not repeat the situation consistently..... But after time I heard a clunk and that was it....Steering was very squirrely but inconsistent.... |

Three things:
1: Lean steer may be loose (trust me you NEED to torque down hard on that screw to tighten it) 2: Wheels may be loose (remove, turn one klick in any direction and replace) 3: It may be that the machine needs to be returned to a repair dealer or the Mothership. |
