Storing at about 50 percent seems best. That is the rule with LiPo batteries for RC model airplanes, anyway. Full charge or below 20 percent doesn't seem a good idea for storage. I don't plan on sweating it too much if it is still full and I don't use it for awhile.
This guy seems to know about the Mini Pro's 18650 batteries in the Segway: Last edited by Pescador12; 01-14-2017 at 01:48 AM.. |

I try to charge mine to around 60% +/- after a ride. Then the day of my next "big" ride I will charge it to full. If I'm going to just ride it to get the mail (0.3 miles) or some short ride, I don't charge it everytime.
If I were to store if for a winter (not a problem in Arizona) I would charge to around 50-60% and still try to ride it just a bit every month if you get a chance. Pescador12; Thanks for sharing that video, its a good one. Dale - AZ |

Why not ask technical support.... technicalsupport@segway.com or 1.866.473.4929. ...and then tell us what they said? |

It's working pretty well for us so far - One of the cars will be 5 years old this May and the battery still gets us as many miles as it did when it was new. We only fully recharge them once every 3 or 4 weeks, otherwise we try to keep them between 20% and 80% SOC Don |
