Question

lipinsky,

Do you still copy/reprogram keys? If so, I have a set (yellow, black, red) that was taken off of another unit that is broken. I have another unit that is missing keys and would like to have these reprogrammed if possible. Although, all I have is the serial/model numbers of the unit that needs keys. Is that enough info? Let me know if you can do it. If not, can anyone else do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Great post! Congratulations.

One question: how can you do it when you loose the key? Is it any way you can use this system to re-program any other key with the information you want? I mean, using an "old" key to put the information of another Segway and make it work.

Default I am able to make keys again

Hi,
After being missing for about two years in storage, I found my key making kit again -- I have a handful of blank keys -- so if anyone is interested in buying keys for their 1st gen Segs, please let me know.

I think of you every time I use the blue key you made for me back in 2003. And now I make them all the time. Never thought that would happen!

I would be interested in getting a copy - just bought an XT and an I2 - so a backup set of keys for the XT would be nice

Default Copying Ibutton For Gen1

Hi,
HAVE FOLOWED YOUR COMMENTS WITH INTEREST.
Have purchased the necessary equipment to copy keys and that works fine. However, I get stuck when, for example, i need to create a lost red key by copying a "partner" yellow or black key. I get as far as creating the IBF data on the Segway Key Tool, then I select the code (which seems to be the entire 15 pages), save it to file but then I can go no further as i cannot find out how to "load" (write from file) onto the keymaker to create a new key? Perhaps I am saving it in the wrong format. I have spent many hours on this without success.
I am working with Wndows 98.

Can you please help?

Hi

I make keys here too.

Only the first 16 bytes of data, on the first page, are required.
This means you can use a wide variety of ibuttons, almost any unit that has a capacity > 16 bytes.

My strata council wants to know how much power /amperage my new X2 will consume when charging? This will be different, I expect, between recharging and maintains phases?
