Gen 1 errors???
Hi All,
Is their anyone out there that may have an idea of where to look to solve some Gen1 errors that are being generated. I have 5 Segways that are not starting at all. On four of them, when started the handlebar indicator LED stays un-lit with "shadows" of various indicators in the background and then after about 4-5 seconds it goes red with the 3 faulty base indictors showing up on each side. On one of them, I get a solid red right away with the error indicators creating a complete circle around the preimeter. I have tried swapping batteries, CSBs and handlebars already. Next question: Because I have had all the Gen1 Segways in this fleet reprogramed to operate with the same key, are the individual circut boards interchangeable between these Segways? THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT ON THIS! |

Gen 1 Errors
I have just received an older i167 that is not functioning. The symptoms (wrench with three bars on either side with eventual shutdown) is the same as described in the initial thread. I have exchanged batteries and handlebar/shaft with no success. Have anyone replied with a solution to this problem?

See a dealer
Hi
The Segway detects a variety of internal problems, and user errors. When the error count gets too high, this red wrench will be displayed, and machine will not start. Most dealers have a machine, that resets the error log and emails that log to the Segway factory. If you are lucky, just reseting the log will cure your issue. Perhaps a previous user had a few falls, this could cause this 'service intervention' being needed. If you are unlucky, the logs will reveal a fault within your Segway. Your dealer will be able to provide those details. Good Luck Michael |
