I use iButton Copy Machine, along with Florin's segCRC to compute changed CRC codes, etc.
Searching this forum and/or google should provide links to the most recent versions.
The hardware I use is DS9097U
And I don't know if it will work with Windows 8. In fact, I use it on an old XP computer.
