Not thinking they should be pros right off the bat. But it looked like a lot of effort to make something interesting that was let down, in part, by lack of camera knowledge (framing, panning, focus, depth of field). The weakest link in the chain.

The best learning is doing it. I think they would have been much better by the end of their trip.

Our dog passed away a few years ago and we had lots of pictures and a few videos of her. Many pictures were very bad (still treasured) and that inspired me to learn a little about camera usage. Moments lost (poorly captured) because I didn't know what the various camera modes were for.
