We have two lithium powered electric cars (Mitsubishis) and that's what they recommend also - For long term storage 30% to 40% SOC is optimal. Only recharge to 100% just before use and don't let it sit for any longer than necessary at 100% - Especially in very hot or cold weather

It's working pretty well for us so far - One of the cars will be 5 years old this May and the battery still gets us as many miles as it did when it was new. We only fully recharge them once every 3 or 4 weeks, otherwise we try to keep them between 20% and 80% SOC
