I experienced a problem because I was raising the segway too high on the segvator. It would cause the foot sensors (the left front in my case) to just not quite return to "unmounted" mode. Just barely. I would have to pull the mat off and flick the sensor with my finger and it would then release. The answer is simply not to raise it that far. You don't need to clamp the segway down, if the arms stop right at the rubber footpads (without compressing them) it will secure the segway fine. I have 2 segvators and they function in their intended purpose great, I was just over-raising the segway.
