And The GlideMaster Lives On

Hello Everyone,

For those of you that know me or know of me I'm back and just wanted to say hello to all.

Yes I do still have my two original Segways in my storage unit here in St. George, Utah but the batteries have been dead for a very very long time. I have had the opportunity to glide on one a few times at the car dealer; needless to say they were in shock when they observed the level of smoothness of my glide. Well a few months ago I got a new glider and it's good exercise and a lot of fun.

Bikes = I guess this is close enough, the Bi is for two (wheels) The term 'bike' is not exclusively for bicycles, as it is used for motorcycles and often for motor scooters and even jet skis.
recumbent = This too, is kind of close enough, as we all know the best way to glide is with knees bent, kind of in a high crouch, more than standing upright.

In this case, I suppose if you really wanted to state your incredulity at the first image presented as his new glide, it would be more accurate to call it a recumbent trike, and then when you asked if Segway made recumbent trikes, it would be a harder response.

Any way you slice this one, it is a stretch, but it is still nice to hear from an old friend.

Welcome back Glidemaster

KSagal, it has been a very long time. I think I first met you at the Segway fest in Indianapolis years ago on the 500 speed way when your Glider didn't want to stand
up with you on it. lol I was looking for the pictures but I do a lot of photography and have more than 105,000 photos.

St George; I was beginning to think I was the only one in Utah using a segway.
My first park was snow canyon

Well Pkelley , you are not alone I'm sure but it's not me. Mine is in my climate control storage unit; maybe one day when I want to spend $800 on a new battery for one of the two I'll get on it again. A guy at one of the Stephen Wade dealerships down here rides one around checking things but he is the only one I've ever seen down here with one. I've been doing most of my gliding now days on my trike.

Hey Glidemaster - I met you at the first SegFest in Chicago, and still have that group picture of the 100+ attendees. Great to see you and FatherTime on here again.

BTW, I've got new wheels too:

Attachment 2347.

Sometimes it's hard to decide which to ride, but they both get plenty of use.

Look me up if you ever make it to Seattle. I'll have an i2 waiting for you.

Terry

Hello Terry, a I still have that picture also somewhere packed away. It has been a long time since that first Segway fest we put together. I see you have the right idea bike wise. One thing is for sure, I ride my trike when weather permits but now unless I go early in the morning it's too hot; like 100. lol
