New MiniPro owner and 2 issues 1st day please help

Hello everyone,
Just became a proud owner of my first NineBot Mini Pro today and I had a few issues. I was hoping to get some insight on.

1. the "dog walker" plastic finger handle. Literally broke off the first time I turned it. Really! I didn't press hard, but definitely saw its all plastic! inside. I attempted to attached the pic. I have already made a claim with Ninebot, but was curious is anyone else had same issue and if they had a solution. I feel like a replacement will def break again.

2. the remote function works in every direction except forward? It wasn't like that before the firmware update, but now I can't move it forward? Any advice?

Thanks everyone and I look forward to the discussions.
Heading out to the park now to test this baby out.

I hope they take care of the handle for you. It had to be broken at the factory as I use it daily even to the point of lifting it up directly by the pull with no issues yet.

Yes I lost the forward control function after the last firmware upgrade also.

Changing the remote speed in settings seems to help a little.

I can usually always get it to move forward by starting it into a turn first.

Old thread but if anyone comes across this problem it seems to me it's related to the smoothness of the surface it's on. Works fine on a smooth tile floor but barely can move on carpet. If you add a little weight I believe it can move even on carptet but if you think about the physics of how it moves it makes sense that with little weight it won't roll well on carpet.
