Alert Device for MiniPro

Hello,

Are any of you using any sort of bell/horn/alert device with your MiniPro? If so, do you have any suggestions?

Since it doesn't have a handlebar, most of the "traditional" options are out. Pretty much the only idea I could find was this, but the reviews of it are mixed.

Thank you.

Haven't run into that. To me, the beauty of the Segways was the ability to slow down or stop with no effort. Effortlessly, one can match the speed of people around you. Say hi as you barely pass them by way of notice. From my sport bike days, I find any large disparity in speed when passing to be dangerous regardless of "they should have seen/heard me."

That said, since your hands are free, it would be funny to carry a old fashion bike horn. Or one could carry a hand bell. Each day you could carry something different such as a triangle as used in music class. tingggggggg.

Clip a small bike bell to your belt?

I personally just yell and wave my Bloody Mary cocktail, or whatever cocktail I happen to be carrying as refreshment. Surely, many forum members suspected as much.

If you get the runbell, please share a review.

I like his idea:

I bought the Runbell but haven't tried it yet. I will post a review if I get a chance. Thank you for your message.

Preliminary review of the Runbell:

It's pretty comfortable, and keeping it on my fingers is easier than holding a regular bell. It kind of surprised me how hard it is to make it ring, though, since you have to flick the clapper at the correct angle or it just strikes air. When it does ding, it makes a good, clear sound that works well for alerting people. I'm hoping I can learn to ring it more consistently, and if so then I would recommend it.

I'm kind of worried that someone might mistake it for brass knuckles, but so far that doesn't seem to be an issue.
