i2 Handle grips

I have a Segway PT i2, needing new handle grips. Segway does not show them on their site, and my dealer (? still in business) Segway of Northern New England is not answering the phones.

Anybody know where I can purchase new handle grips?

Thanks, have not been on this site for a while now.

Some people have used aftermarket bicycle grips....just an idea?

I am thinking that some Ergons with bar ends would be a nice option. My grips are OK but need to be reinstalled with some adhesive (easy enough to do with either hair spray or clear spray paint.) The Ergons are nice because they clamp on. I've also used ODI "Rogue" grips in the past (lock-ons). They are soft and have a little bigger diameter than a lot of bicycle grips.

Just clean the handlebars really well so there is no residue. Wash the grips inside and out with soap and water. As I mentioned, I typically use hair spray as an adhesive. If you apply it liberally to both the handlebar and inside of the grip, they will easily slip together. Then, just let them dry for as long as you can. Probably want to let them sit at least overnight. It might depend on your local climate/weather. Also, I usually scuff up painted handlebars (using sandpaper) so it's not a glass-smooth surface. Helps things to adhere.

I bought a pair of Ergon GP4 (Large) grips on ebay for $39.00. Very high quality, adjustable, clamp on securely, look great on the i2.
