I knew they weren't taking inventory in April for no reason.

Wow, this is definitely NOT what I had even thought would happen, but I'm hoping this means more funding and therefore more development and more products.

But I did see this on their Canadian distributor's site: "The Ninebot-E weighs only 21kg without the operation bar; even a lady can manage it." I think that, if they say that in the US, they're going to have some 'splainin to do. |
Finally! A company with the desire to innovate!

I don't know what to say. I think the dream is over. Or is it just beginning?

I think the dream is over, and an exciting day in the real world is about to begin.

This could end up bad or great. It all depends on what is being agreed.
However the press release points to the direction that Ninebot will use Segway's international network to promote and distribute all Ninebot's products. There is a chance that we may see a variety of new products coming soon as well. It is mentioned that Ninebot has acquired all Segway's assets which also includes all devices' patents. I'm a bit sceptic of what is coming next and what will happen to Segway. Cheaper model at what sacrifice I wonder, unless the entire Segway production will move to China which will reduce cost of production. I was expecting more from Segway but I'm not sure what exactly. Many here share the same thoughts if I'm not mistaken. I feel that I should rush and get a Segway now before the change begins, whatever that change may be. |
