Segway i2/x2 SE

Has anyone ever heard of the Segway X2 SE. I came across some pictures of a revised x2 model called the x2 SE. It has an integrated front and rear running lights. It also has an attached lean stear stem that attaches to the frame. The console is also changed.

The fenders say 'Experimental' on them.

I have never seen this item for sale. I wonder if it is some sort of prototype.

I found the pictures on the FCC website, there is also a manual for the PT SE.

Hopefully that's not a new model they're working on.

We want hoverboards, not some 2 wheeled contraption, those are so 2003! :D

If you notice the leansteer, it looks like that silver lower portion (could) be a battery of some sorts.

Do you have a link? This is how the original Gen 2 was aired earlier than intended! :)

This link has a part that says it was supposed to be confidential till 6/17/14 so that might be around the release date.

Looks like pretty minor changes for such an old model.

Headlight
Taillight
New lower LSF
New rims/hubcaps
New center console.

Best part is the duct tape "EMI Code Do NOT Ride" in these photos:

All it looks like is a Chinese clone.
I'm not impressed.
But we will have to see.

According to the document list and the copyright in the user manual, this is not an old model. Copyright is for 2013 and all document dates are from October - December 2013.

Jim
PS: the SE designation is for "Support Equipment" and the term "patroller" was also used in the Test Report document.

No, that's the real deal. Those photos are taken inside the Segway building. So looks like it's a next generation or special model of some kind. What Jim said above makes sense...

Cool.
