Segway Prices

I heard from a Segway insider that the price will be going up by about $500 on 1/1/2018.

We met with a representative from Segway this week and there is a strong possibility that this will occur. MSRP was reduced for 2017, so this is a return to previous pricing. We will know for sure when the dealer contracts for 2018 are sent out next month. So if you are in the market for a new unit, you may want to contact a dealer before the year ends.

I presume you're talking about a price increase on the Segway i2/x2, right? Not the minis?

Doubling the price of the minis would be an enormous price increase on a "mass-market" item. I can't imagine that.
